If a store manager tells you to leave because of a gun and you fail to do so, that is a clear violation of PC 30.06. You have received "notice" orally and failed to depart. It does not need to be posted with a 30.06 if oral notice to leave is given.
Also leave very quietly and if met with police cooperate. Many people have died because of "man with gun" calls and police responding entusaticaly.

Yeah, I don't know about "many." Erik Scott is one.

Going around telling people you are armed is not a good plan, no matter what the reason. The only people that need to know you are armed are you, God and the police (and some would give debate to that).

When I was an MP, we wore pistol lanyards. They went around the shoulder and connected to the lanyard loop on the butt of the gun.

And I guess lanyard is still an acceptable term since they use it as part of the description for the leash on the website referenced after your post.

We had some dummies who had to put dummy cords on their rifles, compass, even canteens. Loose enough stuff in the field and the 1SG makes you tie it on.
