I bet if he was we would have heard about it by now.

This was a Texas family, although your point about cultural heritage is well taken. This was something I did not know about Vietnamese culture.
I would be interested in learning where this conclusion regarding Asian culture originated. I have met tons of Asians overseas and in the US that are absolutely fascinated with guns. Their governments most certainly are not, but I personally haven't experienced that on a cultural level (I lived and been stationed in Asia for a total of 7 years...and yes, I did interact with the locals).

I had the same thought. The Montaurd (sp) tribesmen of the upper highlands were avid hunters - and fiercely loyal to the US.
Many immigrated after the war and continued to hunt in the US.

After reading about this story, it really irritated me off to not be able to carry at Grapevine Mills yesterday. A promise to my son to go to Legoland was important, but I really hated seeing those signs at the door!

Oh, but you can. There are several threads around here regarding Grapevine Mills Mall and the GVPD. The signs are old and no longer valid, but the GVPD Chief has said they are close enough for him. However, he also said that it will be up to each individual officer as to whether or not they will actually arrest someone for carrying inside there.

I've read those threads, but with the GVPD Chief's statement, I'm not willing to give $40K to a lawyer to defend me if I get the wrong cop.

That is your choice and I totally respect that. It has been an extremely rare circumstance that I needed to go inside, but I still carried when I did. I have not been there in over two years.
