I'm reading this thread with interest. We also have hawk nearby, and we like to let the cats & schnauzer outside frequently. Although, yes, hawks need to eat too, we prefer that our pets not die a violent death.

I'll take a hawk over a duckling any day.

Charles if you can get him to move over to the Nassau Bay Peninsula Wildlife Park, I can watch him catch ducklings!
