A word of caution: As of this morning, January 9, 2007, that list is no longer up on the Kansas Attorney General's website. I called the AG's office this morning (785.296.2215). A person named Jennifer told me that with the transistion of Attorney Generals, the list was taken down while the new AG reviewed the list. As of this moment, she said, Kansas is not recognizing licensees from other states. The new AG will post an official list after he has had a chance to approve it.
Wow! My KS license holder did tell me that the new AG was not as pro carry as the one he replaced. I hope this is not a harbinger of bad blood in the AG office against CHL. I told him to be glad he already had his license just in case the red tape gets really long....

The Link was still working yesterday, And continues to work today. The same information was plastered all over the Kansas News media. Just because someone named Jennifer says says the Atty General wants to reconcider doesn't mean much. How long was this new guy on the Job? 3 Days maybe. I don't believe that even Kansas can make and enforce laws and rules that haven't been made public.

Sad facts is that even one of our TV stations be sure to call the AG's office before you carry in KS. A lot of us from MO carry has been calling and the new list has yet to be published. They never said however the list was rescinded just that it was being reviewed.
Had a great time in Houston over the holidays, except for the rain. Dang it's humid down there.

And, by reading their website this is the sign that they will use and it's just a ghostbuster sign:
and if you live in Kansas...
Kansas chl page wrote:If I have a CCH license issued by another state and Kansas does grant reciprocity to that states licenses, when can I begin carrying a concealed handgun in Kansas based on that out-of-state license?
Answer: No license issued by another state will be recognized in Kansas until January 1, 2007. On and after January 1, 2007, the Attorney General will publish a list of states whose CCH licenses will be recognized in Kansas, however, if a person is a Kansas resident, he/she must have a Kansas issued CCH in order to carry a concealed handgun in the State of Kansas. (Kansas residents will not be legal to carry concealed based on a license issued by another state.)

Minimum size of the sign according to KS law is 8"x8" with a 6"x6" image on it, and if it is larger than 8"x8" the size of the image must be proportional to the size of the sign (
K.A.R. 16-11-7. Signs on page 16)
