Good, I was about to say there's something funny about that thing!

Thats one of the weird things about me...I actually shoot better left handed...But I just don't do it when it has to count...My instincts are right handed...

Somebody's just going to say I'm weird to begin with...

I'm actually left eye dominant, right handed so you can imagine how I shoot w/ handguns... Rifles are a different story, I have to use my lazy right eye..hmmmm I have to try a left handed upper???

I think building one was one of the most satisfying experiences I've had with firearms yet.......it's great fun. It's simple and can be done on a budget. No special tools are required to build the lower receiver and you have several caliber uppers you can choose from. Lets not forget you also have about 20 different lower receviers to choose from. You can start with a stripped lower for about $120ish and then build it from there. It's easiest to build a lower and buy a completed upper. Try it, you'll be hooked!!

Sounds like building one would be a bit further down the line for me.

Id just like to get one already done up :)

Im not sure what id be using it for, how are they for home defense?

Can you purchase one ready for that kind of use?

Dedicated Technology is a one-man shop in Minnesota. The guy's name is Mike Milli. He has been building AR's for 15 years and really knows his stuff. He is very popular with the coyote hunting crowd. I spoke to him a couple times after placing my order and he really took his time with me and made sure I was getting what I wanted. He actually flutes the barrels himself and squares up the receiver and barrel so that everything mates up perfectly.

The rifle itself is kind of a mutt. It's a DPMS lower with an Olympic Arms upper and 1x8 twist stainless ultra match barrel. Olympic Arms has a not so great reputation, but their broach-cut ultra match barrels are very very good. I have made two trips to the range with it so far, and I've yet to have a group over 1 MOA, with most around .5 MOA. I'm very happy with it so far.

That had always been a booger-boo I had to fix on mine...I have delicate fingers...

That is a MAGPUL "MAID" grip...it has changable front AND backstraps!
To suit your size of hand to a Tee....I love the MAID grip, my AR also has the MAGPUL MKII trigger guard...totally does away with the gap at the rear of the standard trigger guard and has no sharp edges. The MAID grip also has modules that snap into the base..the standard one holds 3 rounds of ammo im individual rubber padded wells, other modules are availible that can hold a replacement bolt and firing pin, and another that holds spare battries. the grip has a "cat's tongue" type gripping areas
that provide positive grip without irritating your hand. very well thought out.
