Not surprisingly, Murdoch lost his Senate race. That becomes a net gain for the Dems and makes it unlikely the Republicans will gain control of the Senate.

Man. It's gonna be a hollow, nasty feeling if the balance of power looks tomorrow exactly as it did yesterday...

And the deceased Mario Gallegos wins with 69% of the vote in Texas. :???:

(Trivia: Douglas Adams was 6'5", was one of only two non-Pythoners credited with writing a Monty Python skit (I think the other was Neil Innes), and he died at age 49 of a massive heart attack while resting after a regular workout. He was also notoriously lazy about writing. He used to say, paraphrasing, "I love deadlines. I especially love the sound they make as they speed by me.")

Back to election-night anxiety...

Aaargh! Paul Ryan's home state!
I put little faith in this, Fox news has 12% counted, 53% Romney, 46% Obama, yet are still calling Wisconsin for Obama?

Too early to tell in my opinion.

Yeah, I don't get that either:

Wisconsin (10) Closed * 14% Obama 46% 193,496 Romney 53% 222,649

Tune into FOX News and listen. They are beginning to write off Romney.

As expected, Sheila Jackson Lee has won again in a sweep. Essentially unchallenged.

And Jessie Jackson Jr. has won again in Illinois? Really? Nobody even knew where he was for most of 2012, yet Illinois voters decided he's the best person to represent them?

I think the writing is on the wall and the is no easy or foreseeable path to a Romney victory.
