That may work for you big guys but if I wear a OWB holster I have a huge bulge, no way could I carry like that without wearing a jacket.

An OWB that rides high and tight (pancake style) is just about as easy to conceal as an IWB.

An example is the FIST K2.

It did for me. I carry owb with a Bullhidebelts.com belt 1.75 inches wide. My regular 1.50" did not do the job. I also wear 2 belts, the gun belt is not through the belt loops. Makes the belt easier to adjust on the fly. Just like the cops wear

I just ordered my 3rd holster. Im left handed & it hard to find a good left handed holster localy. The OWB holster it too hard to loop throught my belt & cant really slide it into a good position. IWB doesnt work for me. I just ordered what I thyink is the perfect concealment holster:
Safariland 6378 ALS Concealment Paddle Holster It's lined with felt & ytou can loop you belt through it easily & still slide it where you want it. Easy to take off when I get to work while sitting in my car. It hold the Glock 17 gen 4 closer to my body than the belt holster. The ALS is easy to operate with thumb. Just though Id share this.

I've had the devil of a time trying to carry IWB. I couldn't even get comfortable with my LCP IWB. Last fall I got a deep concealed ultra shoulder holster for my Ruger SR9c and used that all winter. I really like carrying that way, though a quick draw would result in flying buttons. (They make hook and loop shirts, but I'm not crazy about those either.)
Alas, Texas summer showed up and I quickly realized that all I'd have by mid-June would be a salty, clump of rust if I continued carrying that way. I tried various bags and fanny packs. I even got one of those small back packs like you see bicyclists wear and recut the straps so that it hung under my shoulder. None of those options were particularly comfortable and in most cases I'd be better off by swinging the bag using the weight of my pistol as a bludgeon, because I never did figure out a way to reliably and quickly bring the weapon into play from any of the bags.
I'd bought a Crossbreed super tuck for my wife's Walther PK380, and discovered that my Ruger SR9c fit into it remarkably well. In desperation a couple of weeks ago, I tried it again. I'm not sure what I'm doing different, but it worked very well. It's been on my side at about 4-o-clock since. I'm surprised to find my self even more comfortable with it now than I was my deep concealed ultra.
My LCP .380 BUG stays in my right hip pocket in a pocket holster. I need to go back to carrying a spare mag for each in a belt case.
I really can't offer any advice as I don't know why something that bothered me so much last year feels so comfortable now. I'm just glad I've got a viable option now.

I think a good holster is one that works well for you. were all built different. If I were right hanged I would have more options to try a holter before I by at the gun store.

unfortunately it may end up a bit more expensive than you first thought... go to the Crossbreed website, purchase a belt from them and a holster that maches your exact gun model. It'll feel a bit pricey, but it is way comfortable. I carry all day daily unless at home. Lots of time standing, walking, sitting at a pc, etc. I where my supertuck holster at 4 o'clock position and don't even notice it at all. The belt is ultra thick... it's a leather duty belt for holsters etc. It is the best quality belt I have ever seen and I love it.

I love my CrossBreed for my XDS but there are similar options for less money and lead time.

Both of the above holsters allow for the option to buy the kydex shell for another gun rather than having to buy a whole other holster...

New here and first post. I am learning the importance of a good belt. My rig now consists of a Hanks leather belt and Simply Rugged 'Cuda holster. I mostly carry OWB tough I started IWB. The holster works both ways.

just wondering if any one uses a Tagua holster.. I have one for OWB and trying out one for IWB... both are for my SR1911 thought I might have to go with the next size larger for the waist band due but feels comfortable right now... if anyone uses these can you pass on tips.... any tips will be appreciated also

Just out of curiousity, I'm new to the CHL game (no plastic yet...). Looking for a good carry option and what will work best for me so I'm (somewhat) hashed out by the time it gets to me...

I have a Walther PPQ (first one with paddled mag release) and plan on carrying that IWB. Does anyone have any advice/opinions on carry with this gun? The consensus seems to be crossbreed supertuck, but just seeing if anyone has other experience with this gun. For reference I'm about 6'0" 230lbs. Thanks!
