Cesar31910 I know the feeling! I should have my CHL later this week. My wife told me I was going alone. LOL.
It wont take me long to get used to the carry.

I'm not sure where it came from but I know its been around a long time the "Wally-Walk". I believe it was a good place to practice carrying for the first time in public.

I know I did mine.

Look at the way people dress at walmart!!!! you will not be noticed! You will feel confortable for first time carring.

I've had my CHL for a whole week, but haven't done the Wally Walk yet. Carried twice at night when walking the dog around the neighborhood, but not in a public places with people yet.

Walmart is the best test for first time concealment in the public. When you squat to pick something up instead of bending & reach for stuff on the top shelf with the weak arm & practice keeping concealed though out you, will look normal because everyone is wierd at walmart!
I will just be natural & go about my business normally. Being careful to stay concealed.

If someone figures out someone is carrying, what's the repercussion from a legal standpoint, assuming its a place where carry is allowed?

as of some new legislation... absolutely no problem... it's our job to conceal, but it's nothing serious if you happen to be 'made'.... unless you are in an unauthorized place.

Thanks for the info. That's good to know. I'm still trying to figure out a holster that provides the best balance of concealment, comfort, and useability. I like my Foxx hybrid holster, but it's a little cumbersome to get it all set up.

I would look online. I just ordered a holster that may work for me. Most of the gun store will let you try a holster in the store. Im tryint to find a ballance all around-sitting in my car etc...... My belt holster for is hard to slide to a confy position with out unbuckling my belt.
How does it feel to finely have you lacense?

When I got my permit in San Diego some years ago, I carried to the office and back mostly. One day I had to stop at a grocery store on the way home. I walked in, looked around for what I had come for, went to the check out, paid for my purchases and headed for the door. Just as I arrived at the door, a Coronado police unit pulled up and two officers got out. They passed right by me going the other way. Whether they were stopping for some chewing tobacco or answering a MWAG call, I have never known to this day. I got in my car, nonchalantly, and left. I did keep an eye on the rear view mirror all the way home!

Feels great to finally get my license!
I ordered two holsters from Amazon today. Amazon has a very good return policy. Both are OWB holsters. I figure that I'd give OWB holsters a try.
