Pic of me at Fort Benning, GA in 1967 I turned 21 about a week before graduating. Back then a pair of Corcoran Jump boots cost about $30 in the PX. That was about 20% of a Private's monthly pay. I was almost as proud of those shiny new boots as I was of my wings.

I remember getting the wings and finally allowed to wear the Corcorans...you're right, almost as proud of the bloused class C britches showing them off as the wings.
