I have an ammo jar next to the change jar on the dryer and she sorts.
I talked her into buying land to have a private range.
She loves the land, just doesn't want me to shoot anything on it.
She loves bacon wrapped dove with jalapenos.
She loves venison fried steak.
I love my wife.

Well I was going to put that on there, but darn character limits.

I think my wife feels safer when I carry, though she won't admit.I grew up around guns but she didn't.

My wife knows I have a CHL, and knows I carry, but isn't convinced that it's necessary. We operate under a "Don't ask, don't tell" understanding....

My wife has picked through my pistol collection and confiscated the ones she liked for herself. She got her CHL earlier this year and just started regularly carrying recently.

My wife got her CHL. She has never carried. I bought her an LCR, and a LC9 along with several different holsters to encourage her to carry.
Oh well at least "we" got two new guns added to the collection.

That is awesome.

Just this evening we were out to eat and my wife deffered the seat facing hte door to me as she often does. Then part way through the meal she asks me if I'm "packin'." Her word. Sheepishly I had to admit that in the rush to do chores and homework with the boys I had not completely dressed when getting ready to go. I can make excuses, but they all sound lame. Anyway, after I admitted that I was under prepared she said, "Well, I don't feel very loved."

One, I loved her perspective. And two, I love her support. I feel fortunate. She will only shoot the .22 and ins't an active shooter. Her home defense is a big can of bear spray. BUT as I said, love her support.

hahaha! Crud. I did actually laugh out loud. She should have.

My late wife wasn't so enthusiastic about guns in the house when we first married some 4 decades ago. In the last couple of years, when my son started shooting, she began to warm up to the idea of me having guns in the house, as long as they were safely locked up when the grandkids were visiting. But, until a semi-scary incident one night when I was picking her up at her school because her car had a dead battery, she didn't really like the idea that I was walking around armed. That incident changed her perspective, even though I hadn't made any outward moves toward the gun... when we talked about it later, she admitted that things could have gone seriously awry, and if they had, having a gun around would have been much better than not. And, until her death earlier this year, she'd occassionally bump my hip, look up and grin and say "just checking".

Wife usually assumes I am carrying and will once in a great while ask. She is now getting her own CHL!

My wife grew up with her daddy owning guns, as did I. She has never had any desire to get a CHL, but fully supports my gun buying and toting habits. All that being said, When I am away from home on business (which is quite a bit), she still leaves the .45 in place next to the bed.

My wife is from China took her a bit to accept it but she does, if you ever heard the slang LYCM-Little Yellow Cash Machine. That is what she is all about I can have 1 million guns as long as they are free other than that it takes a bit of maneuvering and by maneuvering I mean when she fly’s back to China for visits I sneak 1 in or this time it was some reloading stuff. It is better to beg forgiveness then ask permission.

You know that feeling of you get when you follow your wife or SO into a restaurant or other public place? Absolute pride and appreciation -- that she is assessing the tactical environment, making note of exits, cover and concealment, and preparing to situate herself with a complimentary field of fire and view. I can't say how nice it is to have a life partner who has my back.
