+1 always. Just like I carry wherever legal because I don't know when I might need a gun, the gun is always full to capacity because I may need every round. Always an extra full mag, too.

Glock 17, topped up 17+1, at least one extened spare mag with 19.

I will note when I carried a .45 ACP, I'd just rack the mag. But thats been a progression over time. Originally I started with none in the pipe at all, and now progressed over time to full mag+1 (and to a different pistol actually).

SP2022 with 15 +1 (+2) (++15)
I have a +2 extension on my 15-round mag, and keep it full with a round chambered. One additional 15-round mag in the pocket.
Nobody ever got into a gunfight thinking, "Gosh, I wish I had LESS ammo."

OMG!!! You don't carry five guns and twelve magazines on your person, four boxes of ammo behind the seat and an AR in the trunk? You will never fit in around here!

Condition 1 - full mag +1 regardless of carry capacity (could be 6+1 or 19+1).
When I go to range, first weapon fired is my CCW in condition carried - full mag +1 - may not empty the mag, just want to be sure it's working with max. load + 1.

I do also, but apparently there are some downsides to the practice:
Zamora [a senior supervisor who oversaw about two dozen agents in the Secret Service’s most elite assignment — the president’s security detail] was allegedly discovered attempting to reenter a woman’s room after accidentally leaving behind a bullet from his service weapon. ...The review found that Zamora had removed ammunition from the chamber of his government-issued handgun during his stay in the room and then left behind a single bullet. Yes I do carry max capacity... as long as the pistol has proven reliable in that configuration.

Why would you keep the AR in your trunk? Takes too long to get to it. Always keep it slung over your back.

I always carry the max number of rounds I can. Single stack mag 5 plus 1 chambered. I have a 6 round I use when I carry holstered plus 1 in chamber. I don't always carry an extra mag.

You are correct. My amatuer status has now been exposed.
Now I must find a way to carry my pressure cooker and my AR.

15+1. But that pistol stays under my chair in the den. I usually carry a 5 shot snubbie and a speedloader.

For the same reason I don't set out on a road trip with 3/4 of a tank of gas, I don't leave the house without a full capacity (or more) of ammo. Don't understand why you would do otherwise...
