Why is that? my girlfriend is about to get a tattoo with white ink.
It's a horrible idea to get a tattoo in full white. Not only does it look bad (in my opinion, of course), it turns yellow after a year or so, and just looks worse. You could just burn yourself and make a scar that will look similar

White as an accent color is a different story.

How is HER tattoo the way SHE wants it a "bad idea"? How is calling it such not specifically "attacking" it or demeaning it?

i think the idea of the tat was that it isnt standing outloud and full of color or black n gray -- something subtle or almost small scar like, which was achieved and honestly looks cool -- thats the idea of white ink tat and what they wanted -- maybe its not what you wanted in yours so sounds like it was your mistake on your tat -- if thats your tat in the pic on each arm it is still very noticeable and still looks good -- if you wanted something bright and standing out then yea you didnt achieve it but thats not what they wanted

I asked the OP an honest question. Any worthwhile artist would have told them the effects of white ink. Take that as an insult if you wish.

I didn't know the OP needed a hero. It's nice of you to come to their rescue and get so offended and turn their thread into an argument.

There is a better option. There is a neat feature in this forum called "foe". When you add a member to your "foe" list you no longer see their posts. From what I can tell adding one person to your foe list turns this thread around completely.

No, what you did was ask an opinionated question as it is a "bad idea" in your opinion. There is a grave difference in arguing and simply pointing out when someone is being rude, disrespectful, and generally making themselves look like a donkey synonym.

Your comments have been nothing but negative about HER tattoo done the way SHE wanted.

I personally think this tattoo is awesome! What a neat idea. :) Kinda makes me want something similar.

I am glad you shared! Just ignore any ill-mannered retorts that are posted in here. It only serves to falsely inflate the ego of the individual that posts such nonsense. Some folks are poorly versed in etiquette.

Thanks Selina...

It is exactly as I wanted. Looks like a scar or brand. And in the words of a very dear friend who passed away on Tuesday, "It's bad ass!"
