You'll have a lot of fun assembling the lower and gain confidence in your knowledge about the rifle in the process.
Depending on the instructions you're following, when they mention "...use tape to avoid nicks/scratches..." it's a good idea. I use painters tape to mask key parts of the lower with great results - and no residue.
And a 2 cent tip, if you don't have a pivot pin detent tool, a small icing/frosting knife works great for holding the detent down while you slip the pin in.

I guess by carrying everyday she now just assumes I'm going to do it.
When we left, we stopped for a bite to eat, and then to Gander Mountain where I picked up 350rd case of Blazer Brass 9mm FMJ that was on sale. Then we went to the furniture store and purchased her dresser and a set of rugs for the living room.
Now you are learning. 1 AR15 = 1 Dresser. My wife and I have the same arrangement except it is 1 gun = 1 Coach Purse.

This is off topic, but did you figure out why your are pulling to the right when you shoot?
If not check this next time you shoot: see how much of your trigger finger is on the trigger. If I get too much of my finger on the trigger ( past the first knuckle) I will pull to the right also. I am a leftie too. What is happening is that you are not getting a straight pull to the rear on the trigger. Your finger is curling and causing you to pull the trigger at an angle and the pistol will twist in your grip. The reverse will happen to a right hander that is doing the same thing. They will shoot left.

I wonder what a Caribbean cruise would get me?
1 rifle, 1shotgun, 2 handguns. And a really great cruise!
