Get a straw about the same size and cut it to the size of a cigarette. Just breathe through that and it will help. I did it especially when I would drive and smoke.

This morning I was hustling to get the trash together and out to the curb for pickup. While I was at it I got the recycle rounded up and dumped in the bin.
I got a little out of breath from all that but my heart wasn't pounding away and I wasn't dizzy.
Yep, it's paying off.

July 10th, 2007.
Best decision I ever made.
I've since had a nice budget for guns and ammo.
Best trade I ever made.
Merry Christmas everyone!

A terrific accomplishment! You really can do anything! I never had to quit smoking, but if I had I think that I would throw myself a little party after every week that I didn't smoke. Find something that you love and treat yourself too it every Friday afternoon.

Right on schedule! Well done, sir. Keep it up.
The Annoyed Man wrote:Well done! You've gotten past the worst part. You'll notice by the end of week 2 that it is noticeably easier, and each succeeding week will be easier than the last. When you reach 30 days or so, you'll be over about 90%-95% of it, and after a couple of months, you'll rarely ever have any kind of nicotine craving. After about 6 months or so, you won't remember what a nicotine craving even felt like.
How does your food taste?

My last cigarette was Christmas Eve 2006...
Wow, almost 9 years.
if I can do, you can too... I just needed the proper button pushed. My wife asked if I wanted to be around to see our youngest daughter graduate High School...
