Can you provide an original source where Trump actually said that?

Snopes lists this as "incorrectly attributed" to Donald Trump: http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/ ... macare.asp

the so-called "Affordable Care Act" is all about centralized control of the healthcare sector and has nothing to do with Care or Affordability.
It's safe to assume that almost any statute accomplishes the opposite of what it's name implies. Early in my career, I encountered the "Right to Financial Privacy Act," which laid out a path for the government to get your financial data.

:grumble If the insurance providers were not paid directly the free market system would correct a great deal of the issues. When my vehicle was damaged by hail I called my auto insurance provider. They sent me to a claim center to evaluate my vehicle and they cut me a check before I left. Now I can take that check and negotiate directly with a repair facility. Heck, I can even go to another state and negotiate. This creates competition which drives the providers to control cost and provide customer service.

That being said, it is a moot point. This garbage we have now is, unfortunately, not going anywhere any time soon... :grumble

Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Healthcare have announced that they are leaving Arizona exchanges and will carry no liability into 2017. These two providers are the only individual choice options in 8 rural counties here.

This has always been about going to a Single Payer system. It was only a matter of time.

My friends who were big vocal supporters of Obamacare have now changed their tune and now say the whole reason that Obamacare was invented was a first step to single payer. They are now delighted at the demise of Obamacare and can't wait for the next logical step to single payer. They are one happy group.

If and when that happens you should give them a preemptive "I told you so!" when they discover how uncaring, cost avoiding and convoluted coverage will be. Can you say Medicare and VA Medical?
