I agree. I strongly believe Texas is no worse than it is in significant part because the short legislative session limits the amount of mischief the pols can get into.
Yes, and having the legislative session once every two years also limits the damage that can occur.

Are these the same politicians who said they would repeal Obamacare, until Trump won and they could no longer point fingers at the Democrats. Talk is cheap. The Republicans have the majority in the legislature and Trump is POTUS, so anything they don't pass is something they don't want to pass.
