with Twist, from just watching post here it seems they're getting caught up is right. Like I said in a previous post they (RSD) got hammered in December, everybody was spending their hard earned cash $$ & a lot of apps came in. As you see they're a bunch who sent of apps in beginning of January are receiving theirs now. So hang in there, clean history record you'll be good to go 35-45 days & not so clean history record, 60-90 days. I'm hoping my plastic will be here Tomorrow!

I've read a few different ways people have submitted all their paperwork, and it seems like no specific way seems to help. Some people snail mailed theirs, with all of their copies, only to still have to wait the entire 60+ days. Everything I've done, has been electronically sent. When you register with DPS (online), fingerprints are done electronically, and finally my CHL100 was scanned and converted to .pdf and emailed (electronically). I haven't physically mailed anything. Every one of those packets of information is just a few clicks away for them. And again, it will probably still take a full 60+ days. I can only imagine how chaotic it is though in that dept. The lady that did my fingerprints said she has done 80+ for LTC just that one day I was there. Now imagine, all over Texas....rolling in by the thousands (probably a day).
Oh well, I'm happy in not a very impatient man, and I'm thankful that my state allows me to do this.
I'll keep everyone updated as I move down this road. And I'm sure, I'll eventually be whining like everyone else by the end of it...lol

That 405CH************** is NOT your PIN number, that's what I thought also & I was corrected; its your receipt for paying for the application. So just hang on to it is all you need to do w/ it.

As of today still NothIng!

From the looks of things they are around the 12/21 mark for TLCs. I received my confirmation email on January 11th and I know that one of the posters on this site got his confirmation email on January 11th as well and he has been approved. So, I don't know that you can honestly say that there is any apparent timeline. All one can do is wait. I like the lady's voice that tells me they are too busy and try again later--it seems that I always hear a woman's voice say try again later, or I 'm engaged, I'm dating/seeing someone..coincidence or actual psychic phenomenon?

I sent my docs on 1/15 (received confirmation a few days later). Just called RSD and they said that my bg check was back and that its in the final approval stage (whatever that means) that can take up to 72 hours. I'm 4 days behind the 1/11/16 poster that just st got approved. I have an uncomplicated (no arrests) bg check too. I'm not sure if that makes any difference .

So Zencurry your post gives me hope that mine will be approved soon, my final date was 1/7/16 when received an email stating "it would take 6 weeks for processing". It is 53 days today and I have a spotless record, so if what I have read is right by other posters it should be any day now. I have not called, all I have done is check the website, so hopefully it will be soon. :

I spoke with a Supervisor Friday. The 6 weeks email is out the window. They have no way to change the website to read that there are further delays. I'm somewhere around 9 weeks and she told me they havent even started on mine yet. My record is spotless. I was in EMS for 18 years and couldn't have any problems.

LICENSE APPLICATION STATUS: If you have a pending License to Carry a Handgun application, please allow sufficient time for processing. If you have not already done so, please submit all of the items listed on the checklist you received. DPS will notify you by mail if further information or additional documents are required.

That is all you will see until it is approved and they update the site. When you are approved and they update you will have options to change address.

It took Chuff 70 days from confirmation to plastic. Wow by that its 17 more day for me.
