Hello all. I've posted a bit and just saw this thread. Figured I'd introduce myself. Been shooting since I was six years old. Did some competitve skeet shooting as a teen and shot come competitive bullseye after undergrad and during grad school. Considering shooting some IDPA or IPSC now that I am in Texas. My "range gun" is a Remington R1 with a few mods. My carry gun is listed below. :tiphat:

Age: 32
Gender: Male
Profession/School Status: Financial Analyst/Consultant
Marital Status: Married less than a year
Years CHL: First year
Carry Guns/Equipment: Kahr CW45 / Crossbreed Supertuck or a Kirkpatrick Leather Compact Undercover

Hey all, from deep south Texas. Harlingen to be exact. My name is Robert Barr, I am 40 and have had my CHL for about a year. I started getting it right after I got back from Iraq, where I was a heavy equipment operator for the, despised KBR. I was there for 4 and a half years, and loved every minute of it. I had the opertunity to work with some of the greatest kids in the world, the U.S. Army. I am former Army, and got out as an E-4. I am a heavy equipment operator for a small dirt pit. I have been married for 12 years. My carry weapon is a 3x3 Taurus Judge, I am skinny and can pull it off. My other carry weapon is a High Point .45, both fit is an Ace Mfg shoulder holster. I shoot almost everyday after work, I reload my own rounds so it is not that expensive. My wife is a CHL holder also, and when we did our quals she out shot everyone in the class, scary. I am also a Lisenced pilot, and have been since my 17th birthday. I have put in for my instructors class and will hopefully get it. I have been shooting since I was around six, my dad was a pilot, since he was gone usually, my mom taught me to shoot. I got my tag while I was in the Army, then it was just Doc, I got into an online game called Aces High, it is a WW2 online flight emulator, where I was 2ADoc once I joined the Second Amendment squadron, I like it so I just kept it. If I can help in any way just send me a PM, and I will do what I can to help.

Great forum with a lot of knowledge.
Welcome to all of the other newbies!

My name is Jeff Johnson & I go by JJ in some form or another ("JJ", J.J., or Jsquared) on probably a dozen different forums.
I am 41 and have been married for most of that time! (22 yrs). I have two wonderful daughters & Toby, my border collie mix!
I shot my first handgun in March of 2009 and purchased my third handgun in May of that year! Yeah, I was hooked!
I started shooting USPSA matches to get more trigger time and then started reloading to afford all the additional trigger time! ;)
I got into predator hunting in 2010 and that. became another passion, or as my wife would say "obsession". :D
I was born and raised here in Northeast Texas and work for DOD as a "mechanic". (Term used loosely)
I received my 2nd amendment permit in June of this year, but had been carrying concealed around the house for practice for a while to get comfortable with it.
I will usually carry my S&W M&P9c in one of three IWBs. But I will mix in my S&W model 60-9 in a Don Hume J.I.T. slide.
With handguns, CCL and my reloading I have been blessed with a great mentor and friend to point me in the right direction!
I try my best to keep God in every aspect of my life.
That proves to be pretty difficult these days!

I look forward to soaking up some knowledge!
