Ok today my status says the CHL has been mailed. I look for it in about a week. Almost....... :

This morning I finally updated to Manufacture Pending! WOOHOO!

My time line was exactly the same as yours from the mail date. my bg was a little faster (7days) I got my plastic on 5-11

3/24/2013- Took class
3/24/2013- completed online app
3/25/2013- mailed all required paper work
3/26/2013- fingerprints sent

5/07/2013- first update "received"
5/17/2013- Today BG Complete manufacturing pending!

hi all,

mailed in paperwork on march 18th. today is may 17th. my wife got her license in the mail today. they are still working on my background check. what the heck !!!! is anyone else seeing wifes getting licenses before husbands? I was born in Canada, so im wondering if they are waiting on Canada to send them something. anyone else born out of the country seeing delays in processing?

my patience is almost gone, but cant do anything about it. emailed them yesterday but no reply. sigh ........

I mailed in my packet on the 14th of March. They're still processing my background check. I'm a veteran with a clean record. You're not this alone. Lol

67 Days Mailbox to Mailbox

Now I know it isn't just me. Been at least 3 weeks since I mailed and nothing showing on site today. Still waiting.

It's not just you. I think it depends on whose desk your app is placed on for the background review. My mother and I took our class together, but I had to wait an extra week for the next paycheck before I could do my online application. So my mom got hers mailed a week before me. However, we were both updated as "received" on the same day. My background check only took 5 days, but hers has taken about 2 weeks. Ours both went to Background Review on Monday 5/6. Mine changed to "Manufacturing Pending" on Saturday 5/11. My mom's finally changed to "Manufacturing Pending" today, 5/17 (well, technically that was yesterday, since it's after midnight now).

I've seen postings of others waiting as much as 30 days for their background check to be done. So I think it's just luck of the draw.

3/16/13- Take Class (W/ Hardcopy Paperwork)
3/19/13- Electronic Fingerprints
3/20/13- Mail Paperwork
3/25/13- DPS Received Paperwork
4/30/13- Status Finally Changed on Texas.gov (*Background Check: Under Review)
5/4/13- Still Waiting on Background Check!
5/13/13 –Still Waiting!
5/16/13 -Background Check Completed; CHL- Manufacturing Pending
5/17/13 - CHL Mailed O YEAH!

There is "HOPE", but only when accompanied by "Patience." Good Luck Everyone Else!
Will update when I get it in my hand.

Both updates happened on the weekend. Getting closer!

5/18 my app is finally done yay mailed 3/12...I wonder when ill get it in the mail

Background check completed took only 3 days! Manufacturing pending! Almost there guys!
