Does anyone know if Trump is Pro-Gun?
Actually, the Gov Code Sec 411.176(d) gives them 180 days to process your application.

I never bothered calling them since it didn't seem to accomplish much based on what I've read on this thread. This includes a 10 year-old non-DQ misdemeanor which I included the order of non-disclosure for. Thanks for all the status updates on this thread.

I should be right behind you. LTC App submitted 12/23 and Fingerprints 12/28. I never received a confirmation email (and per everybody's buddy Darrel, not everyone "necessarily" receives a confirmation email). But when I called last week Cheryl did confirm everything was received. Cool Cool.

Really...you can read all that, but you can't imagine what the ellipsis is for?

I used the ellipsis to show I deleted part of your quote. Using an ellipsis was a form of common courtesy in another forum I participated in to show I was responding to a particular point and deleted something else. I also left in your question about Trump with the intention of answering but forgot: Trump is pro Trump.

What do you know, another government holiday. Texas Independence Day today. Maybe if these folks didn't get a damn holiday every other week they could process some apps. I didn't get off for Texas Independence Day, did you?

Are you assuming they didn't open today or you called and confirmed?

Its a Texas government holiday. I'm assuming since they work for the Texas government then they are off. It's like 5th or 6th holiday since I submitted my app

Mine is the same as yours except my application was 12/21, my confirmation was 12/22 and my fingerprints were 12/30. So hopefully mine will be this week also.
You're next bro! Hopefully one more day!

Actually, the Gov Code Sec 411.176(d) gives them 180 days to process your application.
Technically only after proper notification. They must give written notification at the 60th day mark.

"The department shall, not later than the 60th day after the date of the receipt by the director's designee of the completed application materials:
(1) issue the license;
(2) notify the applicant in writing that the application was denied:
(A) on the grounds that the applicant failed to qualify under the criteria listed in Section 411.172;
(B) based on the affidavit of the director's designee submitted to the department under Section 411.176(c); or
(C) based on the affidavit of the qualified handgun instructor submitted to the department under Section 411.188(k); or
(3) notify the applicant in writing that the department is unable to make a determination regarding the issuance or denial of a license to the applicant within the 60-day period prescribed by this subsection and include in that notification an explanation of the reason for the inability and an estimation of the amount of time the department will need to make the determination."

And that does not specify "business" days. Therefore, days are counted are ACTUAL DAYS.

I give up, this is ridiculous. Multiple people who submitted in January have now been approved and received plastic. I just called to check the status of my 12/22 submission and was told to "allow more time".

I get that "it used to take a lot longer" and "they're really swamped" but for the love of God why wouldn't it be First Come First Served? I'm ok with waiting however long as long as people who came 3 weeks after me aren't bumped to the front of the line. I have no problem seeing those who submit before me be approved but I'm sick and tired of seeing people get approved who submitted in mid-january.
