I'm a 57 year old male that's retired, unless I get offered the job I interviewed for at a local indoor range. I had a CHL for many years and let it go when work took me out of state. Now that I'm back I've applied again and hope to have it before month's end. I'm in the Friendswood area. I'm thinking about a J frame for pocket carry. I'm looking forward to learning a lot on the forums.

John E. Davis and Larry Taylor are my state guys and Pete Olson is my national guy. Randy Weber is one district over but I know him from his company taking care of my a/c systems since 1993. He's one of the too few good ones.

Hi All,

Male, 37
Central Texas
Office Monkey
Married, no kids

Just got my CHL last month, have only carried a handful of times. This forum has provided several handy tips, so thanks!

Main carry rig is a Glock 17 RTF2 in a Comp-Tac Minotaur IWB holster. I was really surprised at how concealable the 17 is. Once I got the clip screws set to the appropriate height, it really disappears. I'm a big guy (6'5" 290) so that helps.

Cheers and happy carrying to all! :txflag:

Howdydo. After posting about FINALLY receiving my CHL here in Texas several months back, Orionengr from The Firing Line said I needed to get on over here and join. Took me a little while, but here I is! Looks like an interesting forum with great topics. I look forward to perusing all of the information available.

I live in the Dripping Springs/BeeCaves area southwest of Austin, Texas. I work in the medical field as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist in Austin. I am 52 years old. My wife says I have expensive hobbies...the two G's and two M's...Guns, Guitars, Motorcycles, Mountain Bikes. Expensive? Uh yeah, I s'pose. No chillens, just two dogs, and a funky cat.
