How about some good news and some bad news...

The bad news is that I'm still in the "processing application" phase after 87 days.

The good news is that I got my plastic in the mail yesterday afternoon!!!!!!
Who knows what's going on with the status server?!?! Hopefully this kind of thing will happen to more people than me, because that's a great surprise!

Now I've got a great excuse to buy a new pistol and holster!

Finally got my plastic yesterday (8 days from website update to plastic in hand), and carried for the first time today out to lunch with the family. A little nervous but I've been carrying concealed around the house since taking the course so it was pretty comfortable and went quite well (which means, neither my wife, nor the sheep around us, nor any potential wolves around had any idea they were in the presence of a sheepdog).

Congratulations! You finally got it!

I was a little nervous too, the first time carrying - you think everyone's eyes are on you. However, after wearing it - you notice that no one around you has any idea. Including my GF who was sitting right next to me.

6/01/03 letter requesting copies of dispositions
6/08 copies of dispositions received by chl
6/16 called austin- said application was approved but they were waiting on plastic from printer
6/23 chl arrived in mail!!!!

Called today and was told it would be three weeks before I entered in the system. Said they were still processing March's application, something is not right with this picture.

Your tellin me! I became a senior member here in less time than it is takin dps to get this far on my chl app.

I could have established residency in florda and had my chl by now!

It makes sense to me. I just received my pin last Friday after 3 months. I also received a letter on Thursday telling me I screwed up. I am a March application and they are working mine. I bet the April apps are just around the bend.

No pin in the mail yet.

Woops spoke too soon the day after I posted it arrived, all though it does not work. LOL
They have made an effort to work on it.

Looks like a 60 day turn around, not counting packet inbox time and the return mail time to get the plastic to ya.

Shoot...I think they might be getting caught up! Lot's of plastic being issued all of a sudden.
