FTBL, continue reading down to subparagraph (i)

concealed carry in churches, etc., is only forbidden if the actor has been given legal notice (i.e., the place is posted 30.06 or someone who has the appropriate authority has given verbal notice)

(i) was added in a later legislative session than the rest of the paragraph

@FTLB

No, no offense taken here. I am glad that you posted your information as it helps keep people honest. As the other poster mentioned, that part was modified a little bit later to allow for conceal carry in church.

I like to be challenged or have my line of thinking challenged because it keeps me honest and makes me think about things differently (check my signature, it explains a lot). this is a safe place I can go to talk about stuff and make sure that my thinking on something is correct. That and that book is a lot to digest and I may have missed something.

I have learned a lot from the folks on the board and a lot of it has come as a result of a tug of war of ideas. Hey, if it wasnt for this site, I wouldnt think it was OK to put my gun in my underwear if I take a dump at walmart (dont worry, no pics of that "rlol" )

considering the back and forth I don't think the DPS did to bad.
I will admit to thinking I was not going to get past the finger print issues.
Charles is right "misery loves company" however I would not have understood
what was happening with out reading the waiting room.

Now I can move to the buy,sell,trade form.

thanks

Well...I'm on day 80 from Bexar county too. I had to re-submit my pictures and it looks like you had to re-send some information as well. Maybe my day will come soon.

I got the words that everybody waits for today..."Application Completed - license issued or certificate active". Total day count was 85, which included re-submitting my pictures. I guess that's not too bad compared to some on here that had to wait so much longer. I guess when they say your 60 days starts over it really doesn't because I was only 25 days into my second 60.

When my CHL instructor created my TR100 form, there was some error with the number he assigned me. He did not go into specifics, but two of the digits were transposed. I assume that meant that the number I was originally assigned had previously been assigned to someone else's form.

Congrats. It's taking me a while for me to get used to stopping and reading all those signs on the windows outside buildings to make sure I'm legal. Once or twice I've gone into a building and forgot to check, but luckily they weren't posted. Other than that, I've enjoyed my last week as a CHL holder.

A valid 30.06 sign is hard to miss.

Besides, I doubt most of the employees in a place that is posted by company policy even know or care about that aspect of the law. Had you ever heard of 30.06 before you decided to get a CHL?
