Adds to statistics required to be tracked by DPS to include #of persons in the state prohibited from owning a firearm, accidental shootings, encounters with law enforcement officers, removes time limit on data collection.

I don't recall which one it was but one of these amendments removed an amendment that was put in by the House.
Amendment 12 removed the the third reading amendment by Schafer of non-applicability of 30.05 if you did not receive in person notification.

This opt out amendment is the same argument made when the Open Carry bill was making it's way through the process.

Senator West is proposing a Red Flag Law as an amendment to HB1927. This whole session today clearly shows what the Democrats want and what lies in store for Texas should they come into power.
