One of the big positive aspects of "euro-style" mag releases is that it's pretty obvious if the mag is not locked in place correctly. You also don't have to worry about accidently hitting the mag release button Of course, that was the rational behind it in the first place.

Same here...must be a habit from my M-16 days.
