Andean has them for $30, without the hassles and mess of those other guys. I'm also pretty sure Andean uses psychics to ship the order about two days before you place it, since the product is always on my doorstep well before I think to look for it. The evil ones took over two months to even give me a status on my order, then shipped the wrong product.

Heck, Andean even carries mags for real guns in case you ever get tired of those squirty toys.

I'm not sure if an AR is louder than a 12 ga. But the .223 Rem round has a very sharp "CRACK" kind of sound that I find quite painful, at least out of my Mini-14. I find a 12 ga. easier to take myself.

My DPMS is very loud compared to other AR clones I have fired and stood behind, and the one time I ran mine through a shoot house scenario it did a pretty good job of overpowering my "plugs and muff" ear protection.

Replacing a Stevens or a Ginsberg with a Thomas or a Scalia will go a long way towards protecting our 2A rights for a generation or more.

Anyone who seriously thinks that Hillary or Obama is MORE LIKELY to appoint a Thomas or a Scalia to the Court than McCain is needs to have a urine test done, IMO.

Are we all going on the assumption that the Federals can be fixed?

The popularized "definition of insanity" comes to my mind when I try to couple 40 years (1968 - 2008) of progressively more draconian gun laws with the notion that: "if we get 'our guy' in office, our firearms will be safe". We keep doing the same thing over and over again - reaping the same (or worse) results.

Is anyone seriously considering a thread on secession?

Nope never had any problems with them. I've ordered from them maybe a half dozen times.

So where do you think we would be with the Heller case if for those 40 years we had Democrats appointing a bunch of Steven Breyers to the SCOTUS and to the lower courts instead of people like Reagan, Bush 41, and W?

In all likelyhood, the original federal district court ruling (in favor of DC) would have been upheld on appeal and the case would have ended right there.

And you wouldn't have had Sam Cummings of the 5th circuit writing his very well-reasoned and comprehensive opinion that the 2A was in fact an individual right.

And while we're at it, would any Democrat have appointed John Ashcroft as Attorney General, who would go on to draft a lengthy and well-researched policy statement that the Justice Dept. would consider the 2A as an individual right?

Did anyone notice that with W and a Republican congress, the AWB was allowed to sunset? And that the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Firearms Act was passed? Any chance that would have happened with a Democrat president?

The country os full of "perfect" conservative candidates who could not win their elections. Not a single one of them had anything to do with the accomplishments and advancements of gun rights that I have listed above.

I think we're a lot better off when we save the dreams for the dreamworld, and stick with reality when we are awake.
