BTW, I tried to reload with a pager at an IDPA match some time back, and I know others who also did so.
I became an engineer by the "non-traditional" route, twenty years as craft at the phone company - promoted to "Transmission Engineer" for my expertise in grounding, data, and shooting noise troubles.
