Crimson Trace makes thee different styles for the compact 1911 frame, which I would think should fit your EMP. Always best to contact 'em first to confirm before purchasing. http://www.crimsontrace.com/

Two little secrets about the Crimson Trace LaserGrips, one good and one not so good. The good one is that if you are a certified NRA instructor, CT offers a substantial discount for up to three LaserGrips per instructor per year. Visit http://www.nrahq.org/ for details.

The not so good is that owners of 1911s wanting LaserGrips need to read the fine print carefully before ordering. LaserGrips won't fit with the extended, amidextrous safety that has become pretty common. You'll either need to to remove the ambi safety and stick with a single-side safety only, or you can purchase a shortened safety from CT and install that. So there may be some additional expense involved.
