Thank you, Charles. Ellyn and Newman Lofland from Rockwall will be there. What can we bring? Pecan pies? Look forward to meeting you.

Ditto what Ray said for Gillian and I. We will be more that happy to help set up, clean up, or whatever. Just say the word.

This raises an interesting question - are children encouraged to attend?

Our three children are thirteen, twelve and nine. Oldest two are shooters. They would have a "blast" but is this a good idea? CHL is by definition for 21 and over.

No offense will be taken if Charles wants to make this an adult event. Ellyn and I look forward to meeting Charles and our group and we would not have our children create a distraction that would detract from Charles' good work. Children, even PERFECT ONES like ours  may need to wait for another event.

Just wondering.

Thanks to all.

We really do want this to be a family affair, so bring the spouses and kids.

Regards,
Chas.
The only reason I said what I did was due to the fact that our son is 3. He is not ready for the range quite yet.

So, bring the kids so that the can see that we are all nuts, not just Dad.

Absolutely!! I had hoped to have some form of area set up for younger children so the parents could play, but that didn't work out - insurance issue for the club.

I'm looking forward to meeting you folks.

Chas.

Nuts! The one day in October I don't have open. I really didn't want to miss this. :(

I'd be interested in this, although I can't really commit until a week or two before the date (work always tends to have something that crops up whenever I plan to have some fun :().

For a class suggestion, I'd be interested in a basic gun maintenance class. Something along the lines of cleaning, parts to polish, things that need to be replaced every <x> rounds, etc.

Ouch...Thats going to get you a noogie for sure...

My Granddaddy told me something one time...

"Age a treachery will win over youth and skill everytime"

I didn't ever think that was true till I got into a "snowball fight" with him years ago...

Good thing my Grandmother knew...She had a hot bath drawn, and a cup of hot chocolate ready when he was done with me...
