The only Outback Steak House I go to anyway is at the grill out back of my house!
Just as an aside, it really annoys me to order a steak, burger or whatever and be asked how I'd like it cooked only to be told thay can't cook it that way when I reply "medium rare." Then why did you ask me how I wanted it if you can only supply me with a peice of charcoal?

The fiance orders Medium-Rare all the time with no problem at Saltgrass.

I went to Outback with two coworkers. No 30.06 signs and no trouble getting our steaks medium rare.
Speaking of antigun steak restaurants, anybody remember this?

Well,
My first choise for a steak in Houston is always the "TASTE OF TEXAS". Not only are the steaks good, but they are CHL freindly!

I never liked the over priced Outback for anything except the Blooming Onion. But even that is expensive now.

My mistake maybe.... I will need to call and find out if the Taste of Texas is posted. I thought Ed Hindy was a CHL holder? If it is posted, I will never return until the posting is removed.

If I recall correctly he is a CHL holder, but posts his business. If so, that is sure arrogant that he feels he is capable of carrying but others can't be trusted in his restaurant to have a concealed weapon.

Maybe we should write to him and ask him why he feels that he doesn't need the income from CHL holders?
Maybe he only just sqeaked through the shooting part of the CHL course and is worried that we may be better shots than he is?
My question is .... how come this isn't discrimination? How are they allowed to effectively discriminate against normal law abiding citizens based on a personal choice by that person? Would they be allowed to post "No LEOs"?, "No Catholic Preachers"? or "No licensed pilots"?
I would have thought CHL holders were a section of the public I would want in my establishment.
Imagine seeing a "CHL holders welcome" sign on a door if you were a BG (or wannabe BG). It sure would make me go somewhere else in a hurry.

Too bad to hear about "Taste of Texas" posting for no CCW. Haven't been in there in a few years, but they do serve excellent steaks, not that I'll be eating there again. I do know that the restaurant pays several off-duty HPD to sit in the restaurant everynight for security.
We haven't been there in several years because we love "The Saltgrass" right across #45 from The Woodlands. They have great steaks, great service, and they do keep Shiner on draft. They always seem to have LEO's in there too; but in their case the cops are just there having dinner with their families.

That says it all. One restaurant has cops spending their own money to eat there. The other has to pay cops to be there.
