That's an outright lie they tell you so they don't feel inferior. I've outrun cops more than I can count... granted it was just for speeding, and mostly back when I was 16 or 17. I never did get caught for evading, but the seriousness of it eventually dawned on me. I know, I know, it was a bad habit, but my addiction was fast cars and motorcycles, so I never had a reason for alcohol or drugs.

The key is knowing when you can get away and when you can't the moment you spot the LEO. He who hesitates is lost, and there's no way I'm getting caught on back roads if I'm up to 130mph before the officer has a chance to turn around. :woohoo
