Re: Handwriting On The Wall
I've been trying to research some detail on this question of founding fathers' beliefs and intent. So much of what I found is biased one way or the other. I would appreciate any leads to some plain jane information or history on this subject, something that hasn't been interpreted for me.

Really its about reading LOTS of different opions and the writings of our founding fathers.
to get a plain jane version of the Semi-God Like status we put on our founding fathers, is pretty hard, now-a-days

Well...My founding father can beat-up your founding father!Purplehood wrote:And I can collect just as much reflecting the exact opposite. I would recommend getting literature/videos from a group called wallbuilders. they have done a good job collecting this information. You may be surprised that our country WAS founded on Christian values and that religion WAS suppose to be in government. I know that most folks nowadays dont know that (thank you media and the dumbing down of our education system) and even our own president, who went to college for constitutional law thinks that separation of church and state is in the constitution, but history will prove you wrong.Government does not need religion, and religion does not need Government.

Basically, what some people dont want to admit, is that some founding fathers are more important than others.

I'm all for the state raising money for something that people willingly pay for just to ,make them happy. Whether its PETA, Praise the Lord, or TSRA plates. Its money paid that they don't have to force out of the rest of us in taxes.mr surveyor wrote:we need to go back to just plain old yellow on black and black on yellow license plates on alternating years... no more of these silly personalized license plates.... and while I'm at it, we need to go back to plain old green bank checks... no more of those sissyfied personalized butterfly checks 'ya can't even read the bank name on.... and there's just too danged many "have it your way" hamburger joints - a hamburger is a hamburger...leave it alone
I'm getting old and crotchety.... and I like it that way![]()

x2. Your best hope is to research the author, determine his bias, and interpret the interpretation from there.marksiwel wrote:good luck!Zee wrote:I've been trying to research some detail on this question of founding fathers' beliefs and intent. The only other option is to look up the sources in the backs of books, and try a few of them out. Its a long and tedious process to be sure.
