that close?
Not in my opinion.

It is not normal for an adult to walk around wearing a mask at anything other than a Halloween or Mardi Gras party.

It is quite normal for a man to wear a hat in a public place where one does not sit down (such as a bank or store). That was accepted hat etiquette back in the days when etiquette was still a subject of mature attention.

(Men should of course remove their hats when greeting a lady or superior, or while saluting the flag. Women have different rules.)

Even though my CU is not posted with a 30.06,

I haven't walked in for nearly a year.

I can do everything I need at the drive through or with electronic transfer.

My bank (wells fargo) in the Dallas area does not have a 30.06 sign posted. I actually haven't seen a 30.06 sign posted anywhere i have gone in my town(so far). I dont know about you guys but I will definitely be changing banks if my bank posts a 30.06 sign.

My bank knows me, and has nothing but a ghostbuster sign, it's so old it's faded and peeling off, (bank is over 100 years old) I doubt they'd ever post a 30.06, but if they did, I'd talk to the manager and if it remained I'd change banks because it's just too much trouble to carry my rifle or shotgun in.. Yeah I heard they frown on that these days. I might help if while in your bank with an AR slung around your shoulder you wear a shirt that says "carrying for your protection" and people should get the idea. lol

What about those of us eho have Transitions lenses? Would they eye me suspiciously if they don't lighten up quickly?

That gunbuster sign not only prohibits Beretta 92s but also some Taurus handguns as well, so be careful.

My CHL instructor said, "I always carry in banks; that's where people rob banks."

I get a kick out of "the obvious"

I was getting mail from my street-side mailbox and someone visiting a neighbor said "What are you scared of?"

I said "nothing,"

he asked "Why you wearin' a pistol then?"

I said "I wear it in the house, why do you think they call them 'Home invasions' "

He laughed and said "so you ain't scared getting your mail?"

I said "Heck no, If I was scared gettin' the mail, I'dda brought the shotgun"

Then, I said something like "I got some live rattlesnakes in my back yard under my 2 sheds if you wanna seeum, they're kinda pretty and keep mice and stuff away" ... he declined and went back in the neighbor's house where he felt safe from snakes.

Legal?

It's been done I hear, but I'm not risking "manner calculated to alarm" language under "Disorderly Conduct" myself ..... too costly.

I admit I carried an 18" double barrel down a main street in Houston MANY times, but it depends on the "attitude" of your city, bank, police ...

Just because it MAY be "legal" it may not be "smart"
1 Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

I wouldn't risk disorderly conduct, legal fees and suspension of CHL until "proved innocent" if lucky.

My banks aren't posted. Both prosperity banks are posted though. I won't do business with them.

BOA in Plano is not posted and I carry concealed when going in. I have already made up my mind if six guys come storming in firing full auto weapons in the air and screaming for everyone to get down I will probably pretend I am not carrying and just do what they say to do. :biggrinjester:
