Lets see if I got this right:

If he is a cop, - he is perfectly legal.
If he is a 'civilian' - he is "Disturbing the peace "+++.

No, if he is a cop he is legal, but may be violating the departments carry policy.

If he is a non-LEO, then he is not Disturbing the Peace. If he is a CHL holder, then he is violation of PC §46.035 Unlawful Carrying of Handgun by License Holder (if he is intentionally not trying to cover his weapon.) If he is NOT a CHL, then he is in violation of PC §46.02 Unlawful Carrying Weapons.

Now, if his exhaust pipe is not quiet enough, then he might be disturbing the peace.

Either way I could picture him getting pulled over if that gun is showing when an officer drives by him. Hopefully he would just get a warning that he is accidentally exposing his firearm. One never knows though. If it is in Round Rock, they would probably just shoot him off the bike and worry about the technicalities later.

>It's amazing that he would believe his weapon would stay concealed while carrying OWB and riding.

Its not that hard - it just requires a good choice of gun, holster, and cover garment. Also, it may be a bit easier on a cruiser since you aren't leaning as far forward as on a sport bike (in general).

Frankly, the way some people are wrapped up in their own little worlds (cell phone, kids, makeup) I'm not sure many people would notice even if he was open carrying.

It's hard enough, evidently. :biggrinjester:

Knowing what bike he rides, knowing the holster he owns, knowing the length of jacket he wears, knowing the wind causes turbulence... It shouldn't have a been a surprise that he displayed his heater.

Well, I think he's onto something though. Maybe all riders should carry a gun on their hip. It seems to be the secret to being seen! :rolll Hi-viz vests don't do it. Headlights don't do it. Bright colored gear doesn't do it. Maybe a gun does?? :tiphat:

I believe that if you open carry, you are less likely to be a statistic of a situation as this one. I know if I was a bad guy and I saw someone carrying, I would think twice about carrying out my actions. Just my opinion. Conceal carry you will probably have an increased chance of dealing with someone of this nature. All I have to say is use good judgment and hope your quicker than he is.

It's very difficult to keep one covered if you're wearing very loose clothing when on the bike. Mine is either carried in a smart carry or I out it in the trunk.
