Yeah, but I could still have my Henry. Might even get me one of those Winchesters so loading would be easier.
I was thinking more about the horse thieves shooting back and that they are probably better trackers and sneakier than me. I had better have some friends.

I would definitely miss antibiotics. People died back then from simple infections.

One of my relatives (great-great-great-uncle) died after the Battle of San Jacinto in the Texas Revolution. He wasn't killed by a Mexican musket ball...he was killed by dysentery. He had come to Texas in early 1836 and joined the revolution, and the rest of his family made the trip to Texas in 1842. His brother went on to be my great-great-great-grandfather.

Incase anyone didnt know thats from a TV show called "Arrested Development" and it was the best show on TV
