The S&W 908 or it's more expensive cousin the 3913 are great guns. I have a 908 that was manufactured in 1999 that is great shooter. It is accurate as I am, I get pieplate size groupings at 10 yards. Which is the distance or closer that most combat shootings occur I am told. I carry 147 gr JHP ammo in it with 1 in the chamber. The safety is a decocker and I carry it decocked so the first trigger pull is DA. I use this weapon as of my carry weapons it shares duty with my Springfield XD40sc, and S&W J-frame snubbie.

You, the OP, mentioned the Kahr in your first post, and that some dealers had told you they are unreliable. The is NOT true. My wife as Kahr P9 that we bought used at a gun show that she has put 500 or 600 round through without any problems. This gun was manufactured in 2000 and was sent back to factory by a dealer friend to get all of the up dates and it is flawless. She loves it, light and thin easy to conceal. Even with 147 gr JHP ammo the recoil is easy to control. The DAO trigger is really sweet. The P9 is a more expensive gun, but a Kahr CW9 can be had new from Bud's Gun Shop for $406 shipped. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/prod ... s_id/18442" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; She also has a Glock 27 40 cal and Taurus PT709 in her carry lineup. Althrough the 709 is being sold or traded. At first it had issues with FTE, but has been fixed since it was sent to Taurus for repair. If you get a Taurus you run about a 50/50 chance of getting a good one without issues. I had a PT140 that was flawless. Anyway the opinions about Taurus guns are strictly my own, you have to make your own choice.

Also I have read many good things about the Kel-Tec PF9 9mm. I currently have one on layaway at my local gun shop. Small, thin, light. Not a range gun, but a great concealed carry weapon.

You did a great job on that gun doc. Then again, you always do.
