Me too after reading that.

My ideal breakfast is ...
3 to 4 eggs, over easy
3 to 4 pieces of toast with real butter
1 large glass of ice cold chocolate milk
Method of consumption- Place the egg on the piece of toast and eat followed by a drink of chocolate milk..repeat.
I only do that every other Saturday or so.

Surely you can think of some better egg-based breakfasts to be called ideal, even if you don't make them yourself!
Grand Marnier French Toast with Orange Rum Sauce (6 eggs)
Alaskan Strawberries Romanoff Bread Pudding (2 eggs)
Apple Pecan Lasagna (1 egg)
Blintz Soufflé with Warm Strawberry Sauce (2 eggs)
Stuffed Portobella Mushrooms (4 eggs)
Broccoli Timbales (4 eggs)
Oeufs a la mer Hollandaise (8 eggs)
Cherry Almond Coffee Cake (2 eggs)

This thread pushed me too far. I ate 3 eggs with homemade hash browns and grilled venison backstrap and biscuits with cream gravy. It was fantastic!!!

I can't believe how far this thread has gone. Your breakfast of toast and eggs reminded me of a favorite recipe that I call "Moonstruck Eggs" named after the movie Moonstruck. I found this one on the internet. Try it some time. - Eggstrordinary!!!

I suspect his comment was based on his personal preferences rather than some Platonic ideal.

When it comes to food, idealism is not Platonic.
WildBill, that blog you linked looks scrumptious! I'm going to have an
affogato tonight because of it. And might watch Moonstruck with it.
