It may be worthwhile to point out that the original concept is similar to a state law passed in California and signed by the governator but implementation delayed by the courts.

I do not believe the OP is advocating such a system, but merely asking a question.

I think merely answering no is not enough. What's the rationale behind your "no"?

What's the main source for bad guys to get ammo? Stores, right?

If your answer is no, then what do you propose to cut off the source of ammo for bad guys?

They can have some of mine, then they'll never need to buy it again.

Why should I have to justify not infringing upon my rights any further than they've already been spit upon?

At some point you have to finally say NO FURTHER.

Come on now.
I don't see any reason for me to try and prove a negative
while occupying a positive.

My question would be if you think it should be required,
why?

I'm also curious on your data that "stores" are where bad guys get their ammo. Wheres the evidence for that, or is it just anecdotal?

Why don't you justify why you think it should be tracked, and then maybe I'll justify why people should stop suggesting ways to step their jackboot on what few rights I seem to have left. :tiphat:

Absolutely NOT :mad5

No way shape or form. the government is already too involved in my life. I do not support any measure that gives them greater control or influence over me.

Why would you ever support such a measure? Gun control in any form DOES NOT WORK! It does not keep bad guys from obtaining guns, what makes you think that it would keep them from getting ammo?

Prison doors do a fair job. Let them serve more of their sentences. Parolees should be subject to stop and frisk, as well.

:tiphat: I don’t understand the fixation with ‘how and where the bad guys get their guns and ammo’. There has never been a preemptive law that has worked (unless the goal was to make criminals of, otherwise, law abiding citizens).

Instead, concentrate on making it easier for the ‘Good Guys’ to get weapons, ammo and training.

"Knives are easy to hide. They don't jam, and they never run out of bullets." - The Butcher (Wanted)

Bad people were killing good people thousands of years before guns were invented. The only solution is to lock up the bad people or remove them from society some other way.

They would have to check on reloading supplies, brass from ranges, anything that could melt lead, gun powder etc... where there is a will there is a way.

No. All it would be is another useless EXPENSIVE govt. program that would have a greater negative effect on the law obiding citezens rather than the group that it was intended for.
