Thanks for the report.
Was considering a Solo purchase, but now I'll wait until the full jury gets back with a verdict.

I found mine likes the S&B, and Federal eagle for 115gr Oddly the Winchester 124 gave me issues but the 115 didn't. Firmly believe the 24 round break in, isn't have run 350 rounds and it doesn't like cheap ammo.

If I had it to do over again I probably would go with the aluminum colored frame instead of the black frame (they are both aluminum frames from what I can tell from their specs).
The black (Kim Pro II finish) seems to scratch/wear pretty easily. Maybe I am just noticing some bright spots after range trips, but my guess is its will show wear more than the silver colored frame.
Their naming convention for the Solo seems odd to me since the "Solo Carry Stainless" and "Solo Carry" are identical except for frame color (unless I am wrong somehow). Both frames are aluminum. Was there a stainless steel frame that never made it to production for some reason??
A small nit pick to an otherwise flawless gun so far.

Sigh. Got my solo back from Kimber. It was FTE will all ammo. They replaced the slide screw, barrel, and magazine. Just the list, no explanation. Started with 147 gr American Eagle, then 124 Blazer. No problem. Speer 124 Lawman was 2 for2 in FTE.
Discovered limp wristing has an impact. My son tried a clipand gotan FTE. The range guy tried and got the same. Once he corrected you could have covered his group with a quater. My judgement is still out
