Forgive me if I missed this info somewhere in this thread, but can anyone tell me when the legislature will vote on these bills?

TIA

It all starts next month...There will be a few weeks of committee work mixed with a lot of "blah, blah, blah", with voting to follow...Then everyone is suppose to go home, and leaving a big pile of stuff for the Govenor to sign by this summer...

Its all a blur to me sometimes...

Ain't Texas politics great!

"Politics" and "great" do not belong in the same sentence.
Okay, except for ^that^ one.

I think you guys are missing the best and most important paragraph in these bills. Sub-paragraph (c) says:

(c) A public or private employer is not liable in a civil
action for damages resulting from an occurrence involving the
possession of a concealed handgun by a person licensed under this
subchapter.

One of the biggest (fake) reason for preventing employees for having guns is liability. If they take away the employers liabilit, it takes away the biggest reason for limiting employees guns.

NOTE: It does NOT protect the business if they create/allow a gun free zone.
