...reminds me of the sign I saw at a business..."This business protected by angry owner with shotgun three nights a week...you guess which nights"... they don't know your habits...if I were a burglar, I'd be worried about you catchin' me in the hole a lot more than what else was in the hole... :thumbs2:

The purpose of the weapon is to protect you. Showing that you have a weapon can make your house a target for a felon interested in stealing guns. I believe even at home "concealed is concealed". Do I stop and slip on a weapon before answering the door. Yes.
not answering the door mat imply to people that are up to no good that no one is home and a while later they may be crashing in the back door. Even if you do not open the door. Let them know someone is at home.

Is taping your latest target from the range threatening or just showing off?

...it would contradict the rest of your post, but I'd put it under the heading of "No Brag, Just Facts"... :thumbs2:

If there is no brandishing law in Tx, what do they get ya for if one is say...carrying at 2:30, lifts their shirt and shows the goods?

If you are going to carry, I believe that should include in your home. I don't have to stop, find a gun, and strap it on before I answer the door. It is already sitting there in my SuperTuck. I can carry all day in that holster and forget it is there.
