If you can pass the background check, regardless of how you look, you should be allowed to purchase the firearm. I doubt I would have passed Mr. Carter's look test at 18.

Yeah good point. What about flash hiders? Detachable magazines? Bayonet lug? Barrel shrouds?

What is it about the apparently dangerous pistol grip (which can be purchased aftermarket and put on most popular shotguns, anyway) that is so threatening at age 20 and suddenly becomes okay at age 21?

edit: in case my point isn't clear, this type of "logic" is what led to the 1994 "assault" weapons ban. It is just as panicky, pointless, ineffective, and backwards now as it was then.

If I was so rich I didn't care about their high prices
And was such a newbie I didn't know the salesman was giving me wrong information.

Then as someone who used to be 20, I would take my money where my type are wanted.

A retail sale is basically a contract. Buyer offers and seller either accepts or declines. The 2nd Amemdment protects to right to own not buy. If a seller declines and it's not in violation of a protected class then such is life.
