Huffington post and democraticunderground shining a national spotlight on this insignificant proposed Wisconsin bill is just another diversionary tactic. However, some people seem to be going after it just like a pet chasing a laser pointer. :banghead:
Why? This is what the GOP wants to pass into a law in some states. They say that Wisconsin and the Mdwest are trial states for Conservative legislation they wish to take nationwide, just as California and New York are for liberal legislation.

Only someone who is afraid to talk about it would suggest that proposed laws are diversionary tactics. Similar to the DADT policy being repealed and this whole contraception issue.
From reviewing some of your followings on various Internet sites, it appears you are fairly young (maybe under 20) Tea Party wanna-be Liberal. You also state you want to go to school in Texas instead of your state of Illinois (wise move BTW), so am assuming you have not started college yet and may even be still in high school. I am not sure where you are in Illinois, but I believe your political views may be a little misguided. Possibly it's from seeing the corrupt political environment in the northern part of your state and hoping to find something better, but not knowing who to follow that will lead us out of this hole we are in.

Bottom line, the GOP is not pushing these types of proposals; it's individuals. Don't lump them all into one pile. No different that the Indiana Republican Senator who made the rant about the Girl Scouts being a organization promoting Lesbianism. It was one individual who needs to be removed, no matter what his political affiliation.

There are way more misguided types out there outside of the GOP, including our current President and the former Presidential hopeful Ron Paul that you were say you are supporter of. Paul's rantings have shown he is way unfit to be a viable candidate. And our current leader's lack of everything speaks for itself. While IMO the Republican party really doesn't have an 'all around' candidate for my liking, the only chance we have of getting someone into office is for everyone who is against Obama to side with the GOP candidate that gets nominated, vote for that person and make a change. If you don't, then all you are going to succeed in doing is help get Obama elected for another 4 years. :banghead:

Some one must protect the children. If you don't want it to be DC, the come up with an alternative.

My single mother granddaughter just told me to today that one of her friends was killed recently leaving behind three children under age 18.'

I'll protect my granddaughter and her children to the best of my ability: How's going to step up for the rest of them?

Parrents protect the children,, and if not them a family member, and if not them, then no one,, welcome to the real world,, some never get a chance to grow old.. thats ok..

Thats life.... sometimes, no one is there to protect you, child or adult.. you do what you can, and it works out or it does not... welcome to the real world..

People , kids, adults, die everyday...starve to death...... it's life, or not.. it's normal. it has always been. Only some who think the GOV needs to step in and save the world no matter the cost see it differently...It is a natural thing for some to be borne and not make it to old age.. it's not new, and no matter how many tax dollars you through at it.. tax money we really do not have to start with... it will never change.
