That is the sad part. The politicians know gun control won't decrease violence. That is not their true goal, curbing violence is the excuse. The democrats(socialists), are wanting to make people totally dependent on the government while taking away all means to resist so they can maintain power over the people.

Simple Answer: Because you elect politicians whose goal is to subjugate you so that they remain in power. One of their goals in that subjugation is to make sure that you cannot defend yourself.

Besides the screaming about injustice that it would generate, I wonder what a dusk to dawn curfew in some of these neighborhoods would do to the murder rate. In most natural disasters, that is a favorite tactic. It should work in this man-made disaster of a city, too.

As we worry about clothes and supplies for our children and the news reminds us to drive safe as the kids are back to school. Chicago parents worry about will "Safe Passages" work. Apparently Chicago has set up certain streets where the gangs are not suppose to shoot the children as they go to school.

I guess its really gotten that bad in gun free Chicago.
