Correct, the store front in fort worth is cheaper than dirt outdoor adventures but I believe there is still a cheaperthandirt.com pick up/warehouse in the same building. ive shopped there many times but have purchased little, they are as noted, not cheaper than dirt.

That sounds correct. I do know the store in Ft. Worth does not honor anything posted in the Cheaper Than Dirt . Com magazine.

I don't think CTD, Dick's Sporting Goods and Walmart are the only ones caving. I've gone to 5 different sites to order 30 round mags for non-AR rifle. All show in stock. Some even quote high in stock numbers. I place my order, receive my confirmation email that it was submitted successfully then 10 min later I receive an email that states something like, "We have cancelled your order. The item you requested is either out of stock or it has been discontinued. We appreciate your business." I submitted one last order I'm hoping this goes through.

The Cheaper than Dirt in Ft. Worth and the one in McKinney must be affliated. I went to the Better Business Bureau to look them up. Ft Worth's website is cheaperthandirt.com and McKinney's is cheaperthandirtguns.com. There are different contacts associated with both but if you go to the websites they both have the same suspension notification. Is there a 3rd Cheaper than Dirt that I don't know about?

They have now changed their banner to say that they have temporarily suspended sales while they review all of their policies. Looks like they realized they screwed up.

On their Facebook page, there have been thousands of negative comments posted today, CTD has also been 'unliked' by over 8,000 today alone.

If there were problems with IRS or BATF, or anything else, they could and should have issued more of a statement than the half assed one on their FB page.

They brought all this wrath on themselves.

I've never ordered a gun from them, I prefer to support my local dealers. However, I have ordered a lot of ammo and accessories from them over the years. Their decision does not affect my supply of accessories or ammo because I order a lot from Midway also.

My concern is how this will play out as a publicity boost to the anti-gun groups who will be banding together to have some sort of AWB legislation pushed through after the first of the year.

Even the statement from NRA today was not terribly reassuring, we will all have to wait and see how things pan out.

A friend turned me on to the clear tranluscent 30 round mags from Lancer and they are probably the best AR-15 mags I've ever seen/used.

Primary Arms sells the lancer mags, I went to their web site today and ordered 4 more at $18.99 each...... I just checked again and they still list as being in stock this evening.

They also have black mags for a less expensive price. In addition to the 30 round mags, they also have 20 round mags.

If you want to buy a few in case an AWB includes a ban on what mags we can actually use, they also have aluminum 10 round mags.

I was looking for AK mags originally but after the being denied several times, I'm now going to get a few AR mags so I appreciate the post. I finding sold out everywhere for PMags except CTD and I'm definitely not buying from them. Heading over to the website now to grab a couple.

If you have never tried the Lancer clear mags before, I think you will like them.

I sure do.... they are top quality and I like the idea of being able to actually see how many rounds are left in the mag.

I forgot to mention above that Primary Arms doesn't gouge customers on shipping fees. Lots of their items qualify for free shipping and these mags fall into the free shipping category.

As of 0400 in the morning, Cabelas still seems to be selling firearms via their online "storefront" including semi-automatic rifles. If anyone hears differently, please let me know.

I have bought some things on line from CTD in the past. But after this I removed myself from their mailings and contacted them letting them know I would no longer be doing business with them.

But I heard on another board that Academy was boxing up the AR's they had. Haven't been by the one here so I don't know how true that is. Then again, I've never looked at AR's there either. Though I did buy a PMag there once.

Wasn't it CTD that was selling no-name. 380 ammo for $60 a box during the great ammo shortage of 2008?

You're free to call it capitalism. I'm free to call it gouging.

Thanks to CTD for reminding me why I don't do business there.
