Because I've seen others already processed on the same timeline, and I wanted to see if other documents were required, or if there was a problem with my application that I needed to address. I guess I must be confused about the "60 statutory time limit". Also I thought It would be okay for a citizen to contact a government agency about an application. Please inform me of any etiquette infraction.

Day 35..... No update but I did find bulk 9mm & .45 ammo.

Haha same here, day 35. Going by the 60 day statute they now have 25 days to complete my mail in app. DPS has yet to send my letter to go get my fingerprints done so they better hurry.

Still waiting on mine but I'm only on Day 27 - so I am guessing I have a couple of weeks before I see anything

For what it's worth...... I happened to run into the chief of staff for my state rep last Friday and she stated her CHL app is taking an exceedingly long time as well. So even if you have a little pull your app will be processed when it's processed. Going the state rep route will probably just give you a bit of false appeasement.

Day 41 here also, I tried to log in this morning and it locked me out for 24hrs, I thought it had been 24hrs since last log in attempt.
Trying to call and get a update but all I get is a busy signal, the 1 time I did get through it get the "due to high call volume we are no longer taking calls at this time"
DPS customer service is a joke.

Not understanding the lockout. I've been checking my wife's app twice a day without an issue.
My app took 44 days box to box. Wife is on day 54 and still in BG...go figure.

It cause DPS has not entered my application in the system yet. I did the mail in app.
