What about this one?

Alright, I know it's Prince, but the first person I thought of was that little Dr. Pepper dude. It's the sweet one.

The current posts are saying that the drug was Fentanyl, not Percocet.
It is my understanding that this drug is so potent [50X heroin] that it is usually used only in a hospital setting.
Of course he may have been using Percocet and or other painkillers.
Edited to remove reference to Michael Jackson's death.

Fentanyl is potent and it would be easy for somebody with no knowledge to OD on it but who ever gave him that prescription need to have the license pulled, I can't see any justification for fentanyl as a remedy for a past injury. The stupid thing about Michael Jackson was his Doctor had him on propofol which works pretty well in a quiet room but the patient is easily awakened, had somebody been watching over Michael Jackson he'd be alive now, propofol effects will reverse within a minute of stopping it!

I really miss Bo Diddly and Fats Domino. They were real musicians who made real music!

Oldgringo,
One day, after we're long gone, the music lovers of the next few generations, will bemoan the dearth of real musicians.
I miss Stephane Grappelli - Now, there was a great musician.

Watched Purple Rain after he died. First time I ever heard or saw him. I thought he was musically talented. When you have so much money I guess that maintaining a drug habit is easier than it is for "the folks". Like Elvis did by buying a pharmacy.

Elvis often talking about buying a pharmacy, but I don't think he ever did. Dr. Nick, and others were pretty good at keeping his meds up to date.

It has been going on before we were born. Fortunately with digital archives the music will be available for a long time to come
for those who have the initiative to find it.

It seems every generation complains about their kids' and grandkids' music.
