Abraham, the name first got known when her bio-dad, Robert Kardashian, was part of OJ Simpson's defense team during his trial for the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Simpson-Brown and her boyfriend Ronald Goldman. Prior to that, they were just another wealthy and privileged but not necessarily well known Los Angeles area family. Robert Kardashian and his wife Kris were divorced in 1991, and she remarried to the then Bruce Jenner. She brought 3 daughters and a son to the Jenner marriage, one of whom is Kim Kardashian. Kim Kardashian is married to Kanye West, and is mostly known for (A) being known, and (B) having a gigantic caboose.

I only know this stuff because I lived in L.A. when all these early shenanigans were ongoing. I am actually embarrassed that I know.

I swear I have not seen it, but Kim rose to fame after she leaked a sex tape of herself on the Internet. That apparently was enough to get the reality TV show.
