So, as part of this 30.08, can we change one word in 30.06 and 30.07 to make every sign in Texas unenforceable again? I kinda liked when they did it last time.
Let's just do that every session to screw with the insane anti-gunners.

I suspect that would be a quick way to make the legislature reduce the size requirements so the signs would fit on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper in order to 'reduce the cost' to property owners/

What do businesses have to do to prohibit unlicensed carry now? Why change that simply because unlicensed carry is expanded from long guns to include handguns?

Large group of Moms Demand showed up in red shirts.
So far 35 people are signed up to testify on Stickland's bill and 22 for White's.
People can sign up to testify at any point while the bill is up
Hearing on bills (they'll be put up separately) starts after full House lets out, possibly 1:00 or 3:00 it should start and go on until everyone is heard, could be a late night in Homeland Security

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fee reduction passed out of committee, I think they substituted to
match Senate's Bill
The House committee unanimously passed the companion bill to Senate bill 16, lowing fee for handgun license from $140 to $40
Committee approves House version of bill that would reduce fees for a license to carry, 8-0
Committee approves bill unanimously, sending it to full House. Here's info on Senate version

I'm told there are now 75 people signed up to testify on Stickland's bill, 47 on White's. Testimony is 2 minutes per person. #txlege

It ain't perfect, but it's still good.
As an instructor, it will cut into my business, but I'm more concerned about the Constitution than I am about my bottom line.

Yes, as if citizens with guns is some kind of new, experimental thing.
The witnesses I've seen were questionable, in my view. NAGR types, some kind of rabble-rouser talking now from a group I definitely don't endorse.
