I saw a guy open carrying in a walmart at the pharmacy area,i didn't see any cuffs or badge,and i didn't say anything but if he wasn't leo he was in violation,but i definitely noticed the firearm,but in all reality if you have a good holster with the right clothing you are more aware than anybody else,sometimes my galco holster is so comfortable i gotta touch to make sure i didn't leave home without it,and yes i carry in my house

I carry using a really crappy holster, and the only place that it has worked for me is right in the front, IWB. It just makes me look well-endowed.

I've read many threads on this forum that talk about consequences of printing (hysterical women running screaming through the aisles of the walmart, children crying, and panic reaching a level of intensity that makes an earthquake seem mild), however, I'm still not clear on what would happen legally as long as the exposure was not intentional or threatening.
Printing and the definition of concealed are highly discretionary. If someone only casually scrutinizing your appearance could deduce beyond reasonable doubt that you are carrying a handgun, it is not concealed. However, a big bulge under your jacket at hip level is generally little else, and a big bulge inside your shirt and waistband around your hips is a bigger giveaway. Other things it could be (colostomy bag, external pacemaker, other medical device) are rarer than a handgun in most people's minds. A bulge at 6:00 IWB is a dead giveaway.

All that said, you're unlikely to find someone who notices it, realizes it for what it is, AND cares, as long as you take precautions to keep it out of plain sight.

Any day making these guys uncomfortable is well-spent.

New CHL permit question:

What do the references to various "o'clock" AND IWB initials, etc. mean :confused5 vis-a-vis concealed carry?

Thanks,

12 o'clock is directly in front of you, If you extend your right arm out to your right side you will be pointing at 3 o'clock; behind you is 6 o'clock and your left is 9 o'clock.

IWB = "in waist band"
